Welcome to Journey Found Travel: Every Journey Has a Story
I never imagined my next chapter would begin with a passport, a laptop, and a squirrel named Miles—but here we are.
If you know me, you probably already know that I love to travel. What you may not realize is that I enjoy planning the trip almost as much as taking it. I am the person comparing resorts, studying cruise ships, checking flight times, researching points, reading reviews, and thinking about all the little details before the suitcases ever come out.
For years, I have helped plan trips for my own family and shared what I learned with friends. Somewhere along the way, I realized that I did not just love traveling. I loved helping other people travel too.
Why Journey Found Travel?
The last year changed a lot for me. Life slowed down in ways I did not expect, and I had more time to think about what I wanted my next chapter to look like. I kept coming back to the same thing: I wanted to do work that felt personal, meaningful, and exciting again.
Travel has always given me something to look forward to. It has taken my family to new places, given us stories we still laugh about, and created memories we could never have made sitting at home. Not every trip has been perfect—and I will always be honest about that—but every trip has given us something.
That is where the name Journey Found Travel came from.
I believe travel is about more than choosing a destination. It is about finding the experience that fits the people taking it. The right vacation for one family may be completely wrong for another. Some people want a busy itinerary filled with excursions and new experiences. Others want a balcony, a beautiful view, and absolutely nowhere they have to be.
Neither is wrong. The goal is to find your journey.
Planning Is What I Do
I have spent most of my career in operations—building processes, solving problems, managing details, and making sure people are taken care of. Travel planning may look different on the surface, but it uses many of those same strengths.
There are dates to coordinate, budgets to respect, rooms and cabins to compare, transportation to consider, and a hundred small decisions that can quickly become overwhelming. I genuinely enjoy working through those details and turning a long list of possibilities into a trip that makes sense.
I am not here to sell every person the same cruise, resort, or vacation package. I want to learn who is traveling, what matters most to you, what you want to spend, and how you want the trip to feel. If something does not seem like the right fit, I will tell you. I would rather help you choose the right trip than simply book the easiest one.
What You Can Expect Here
This blog will be a place for honest travel conversations—not just perfect pictures and sales pitches.
I will share:
Cruise tips and honest reviews
Destination and resort ideas
Family, couples, and group-travel inspiration
Packing and planning advice
Ways to use points and miles when they make sense
Lessons learned from my own travels
Practical information that makes traveling feel less overwhelming
You will also meet Miles, the Journey Found Travel squirrel and my slightly distracted, always-excited travel sidekick. Miles will help share travel tips, destination finds, packing reminders, and probably a little mischief along the way.
Let’s Find Your Journey
Maybe you already know exactly where you want to go. Maybe you only know that you need a break. Either way, you do not have to figure out every detail alone.
If you have been saying, “One day, we should take that trip,” maybe it is time to start the conversation. You do not need to have everything decided before reaching out. That is what I am here to help with.
Thank you for being here at the beginning of Journey Found Travel. I am excited to see where this journey leads—and even more excited to help you find yours.
